Tokens

This year, TOKENS will be used at Relay for the purchase of all food and drinks (including coffee) and kid's activities.

Tokens will be sold dollar for dollar:
$1 = 1 token
Twenty dollars buys twenty tokens.

Tokens will be sold in booths:

- At the INFO TENT
- Near the CATERING TENT


Tokens are not redeemable for cash. At the end of the day, buckets will be provided for you to donate any of your unused tokens back to Relay, contributing to the overall fundraising effort.

All TEAM initiatives (fundraising by teams on the day) remain on a cash basis and teams are reminded not to leave any money unattended. A small number of vendors and sponsors selling more expensive items will be accepting cash and credit card payments.

Reasons for using Tokens

The token system is designed to:
- Increase security
- Provide transparency between Relay and the fantastic vendors that support us
- Greatly improve our sales data for planning in future years. This will make Relay a better experience for all and also help us save money by not over (or under) ordering supplies
