Banquet

The Relay For Life Banquet was introduced with great success in 2009. It is a group outdoor dinner, situated on the track. Simply, it is designed to provide an opportunity for all teams (and even visiting friends and family) to sit together on the Saturday evening of Relay, eat and enjoy fabulous live entertainment.

In 2012 we will be allocating banquet tables in order of when your team registered so its "first in best dressed" the sooner you register the better!

Time

Starts 7.30pm, Saturday 5 May (following the Candlelight Ceremony)

Finish whenever you like. Live music ends at 10:30pm and is followed by late night trivia in the mess tent.

Tables

Tables and chairs will be set up on the outer lanes of the track so that Relay participants who are still walking or running are included in the festivities.

What do I do?

1. Book a Table. Each tables seats 10. Cost $50 per table, which covers hire fees.

2. Arrange catering:
a. Provide your own food and drinks, or
b. Have whatever food you like delivered in to the venue (good luck!), or
c. Pre order a banquet meal to be delivered to your table (see below).

2012 Banquet Menu

Roast Meat Platters
Smoked pork belly with seasonal vegetables, roasted potatoes & gravy (Serves 5 - $50.00)                        
Slow roasted lamb shoulder with seasonal vegetables & gravy (Serves 5 - $50.00)

Pasta Platters
Penne bolognaise served with Mumma's meat sauce (Serves 5 - $40.00 )
Penne boscaiola (bacon, mushroom, white wine cream sauce) (Serves 5 - $40.00)

All meals served with hot crusty bread and butter. Plastic plate, clutery & paper napkin also included.

Desserts
Chocolate mousse (each - $4.00)
Mini pavlova topped with fresh fruit (each - $4.00)
Seasonal fruit salad platter (Serves 5 - $15.00)

Drinks
Water (each - $2.00)
Mineral waters (each - $2.00)
Ice tea (each - $3.00)
Orange juice (each - $3.00)


To avoid disappointment it is highly recommended that all teams pre-order this Banquet Meal. PLEASE NOTE: We strongly discourage ordering food from the mess tent for the Banquet - our catering here cannot cope with a few hundred hungry banquet-goers. Queues will be long and we don't want you to miss out on the entertainment or worse, go without dinner if the mess tent food is slow or runs out.

NB: Glass drinkware is NOT permitted at the venue - please ensure that you bring plastic drinkware only.

3. Look up your table location at the Relay, Saturday 5 May.
The Information Tent will display a map of all Banquet tables. Please visit the Information Tent to find out where your team table will be located.

Fun and Games!

Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed/best themed table.
