My husband Laurie and I have recently been faced with the toughest time of our lives. We both lost our Mums to cancer.
Laurie's beautiful Mum Lyn passed away on November 23rd 2011 and my beautiful mum lost her battle exactly 19 weeks later on the 4th of April 2012.
We are due to have our third baby next month in May and it hurts us to know that our children will grow up without their "Grandma" and "Nannie" as part of their lives.
We certainly feel cheated, so are fighting back against cancer by doing all we can to raise money for the cancer council so that hopefully by the time our children are adults, cancer will be something you only read about in history books!

Cancer Council's Relay For Life is coming to our community and I'm taking part. That's right - I'm taking to the track and being proactive in the fight against cancer.
Did you know that Cancer Council is Australia's leading cancer charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. Cancer Council's groundbreaking work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has saved thousands of lives?
But statistics show that one in two of us will still get cancer at some point and Cancer Council's vital work, funded entirely by the public, will help ensure that thousands more people will survive.
