Payne Pacific Real Estate have chosen Cancer Council NSW as our preferred charity.

We feel strongly that we need to give back to the community, and as so many of our staff members family and friends have been affected by cancer, we decided to support Cancer Council NSW and in particular the amazing Relay For Life event. 

Through the year, we arrange a fundraising event to raise money for our team, and invite staff and clients to be involved.  All funds raised go toward our Relay For Life team.

On the Relay weekend, our staff and their families head down to the Sylvania Waters Track at different times on the Saturday for a day filled with fun and activities for all the family.  We have a roster for our staff to walk around the track and usually have some activities going back at the tent. Sometimes there are tears, but there is always a shoulder to lean on and a comforting word or hug.  Walking around the track, we always meet people who have a story to tell, and share.  It is absolutely true that a trouble shared is a trouble halved.  That evening, we gather together for the evening Banquet, a good meal, fantastic entertainment and a great social night out.

Relay for Life is such an amazing event, is a great way to raise money for cancer research and hopefully in the future, we'll be able to say that we helped save a life.

At Relay, you can find healing, comfort, and support from others who have faced cancer or who have lost a loved one to the disease. You have a chance to meet people in the community who are equally as passionate about finding an end to cancer in our lifetime. You can thank all the people who have done so much to support you through your personal cancer experience. And you can gather together with friends, family, and colleagues to laugh, cry, and create lasting memories.

No matter why you take part in Relay, however, one thing is clear: with every step you take, you are helping the Cancer Council save lives. So who will you Relay for?
